Installing AutoWindow in a 2001 Golf. It's the same for a Jetta.
And Passat panel removal is very similar to this as well!

1.Push inside grip away from handle	2.Console lifted straight up	3.Unplug the console	4.Three large screws	5.And a small screw
6.Three Torx-20 along bottom	7.Lift the panel away	8.Undo some connectors	9.Alarm LED connector too	10.Lift panel up off windowsill
11.Pull door latch cable rearward	12.Swing cable aside and unhook	13.Panel removed exposing door	14.Slit tape carefully	15.Wires of interest exposed
16.Temporary position	17.Module all connected	18.Peel-n-Stick after testing	19.Taped and tidy up	20.Peek at AutoWindow
